Summaries of Jurisprudence: Indigenous Peoples

CEJIL is pleased to present a new volume from the collection “Tools For The Protection of Human Rights: Summaries of Jurisprudence”, this time dedicated to the rights of indigenous peoples.

Several indigenous peoples in different parts of the world have experienced serious and systematic violations of their rights, often caused by the lack of recognition and respect for their culture, customs, and the various discriminatory expressions against them. Therefore, this publication contains the main decisions and the progress made on the protection of rights of indigenous peoples in regional and international courts.

We hope to contribute to spread the main standards established by international organizations for those who work on the field, by facilitating their access to this information for a better defense and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples.
