Report on impunity and violence against Mapuche children and adolescents (Only in Spanish)

The following document presents systematized information on the excessive and disproportionate use of force by security agents in the Araucanía Region of southern Chile and the effects that this situation has on children and adolescents of the Mapuche people. Particularly, the report recalls the violent events that occurred between the end of 2011 and October 2015 in the Temucuicui and Trapilwe communities and the prevailing impunity in which the cases remain.

 

This report was written and edited by the Mapuche Territorial Alliance, Anide Foundation, and the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL) and presented before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights during its 156th regular session, in October 2015.
