Gqual Campaign. Campaign for gender parity in international representation

GQUAL seeks to improve women representation in international tribunals and monitoring bodies by helping to change the norms, guidelines, and practices that regulate the nomination and voting processes through which the composition of these bodies is determined.

The campaign aims to encourage the presentation and appointment of qualified women in international courts and other bodies by publicizing the current lack of gender parity within these mechanisms, growing a large pool of support for parity, disseminating information regarding available positions, and demanding transparency behind selection processes as well as the enforcement of guidelines meant to guarantee gender equality.
