Video: Maria da Penha

Maria da Penha is a Brazilian pharmacist and survivor of domestic violence. In 1998 her case reached the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights with the help of CEJIL, CLADEM, as well as her own efforts. In the following video, Maria asks Brazil to defend the IACHR in order to maintain its role of defending human rights.
