Strengthening the Inter-American Human Rights System
CEJIL promotes and enriches critical dialogue on the Inter-American System through the production of reports and analyses as well as the publication of position papers and an annual Journal, all with the aim of fostering discussion on important human rights issues. At the same time, CEJIL monitors and publicizes the nomination and election process for members of the Inter-American Commission and Court of Human Rights.
The Assembly is expected to take place on June 13th, 14th and 15th June 2016.
The document attempts to addressregional challenges in the areas of education, health, energy, environment,migration, security, citizen participationand democratic governance.

Tirza Flores Lanza was dismissed from her post as a Court of Appeals Judge in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for declaring herself against the coup d’état in June of 2009. In this video Tirza highlights the quick response of the IACHR after the coup.
